The Background
Due to the failures of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), Chairman Rob Bishop introduced the Protecting America’s Recreation and Conservation (PARC) Act as a solution. The PARC Act cuts is a common-sense bill to modernize the LWCF to better serve the needs of States, counties, and cities, to ensure greater recreational opportunities for the public, and to restore the true intent of the law.

In the Media
In early November 2015, The Wall Street Journal editorial board published an article about the breakdown of LWCF, revealing that funds are used for eminent domain projects and extensive federal land grabs. Read the full article HERE.
In an interview on with Tim Farley, host of The Morning Briefing on POTUS Sirius XM radio, Chairman Bishop explained how the LWCF has been hijacked by special interests to become a "slush fund." Listen to the full interview below.
