This moving season, the FMC challenges ocean transportation intermediaries to help prevent and tackle moving fraud by taking the following steps:

• Refuse shipments from unlicensed moving companies.  To determine whether a company is licensed:

  • OTI License Updates
    
    
• Provide customers with a copy of the FMC’s free household goods brochure
  
  
• Link to the FMC’s household good’s webpage
  
  
• Use the CADRS’s free and confidential ombuds and mediation services to resolve disputes with customers and/or others in the logistics chain.
