Climate Citizenship
On November 12, 2016, fifty citizen-delegates to the Second Cambridge Climate Congress adopted and signed a Statement of Response to climate change, reproduced below.
In the next few weeks, Green Cambridge, in partnership with other climate response organizations, will start to recognize and recruit climate citizens to adopt and spread this vision of response. If you would like to join this project, please contact us via: congress@greencambridge.org |
Statement of Response
We can act now to protect ourselves, future generations, and life on earth from the conditions of a changing climate. We believe it is our responsibility to act now to
- Adapt our way of living,
- Conserve natural resources and systems, and
- Restore the natural cycles on which life on earth depends.

Cambridge Trees Advisory Committee LaunchedGreen Cambridge launched the Cambridge Trees Advisory Committee in the spring of 2016 to take a long hard look at how to best reforest Cambridge. Currently our primary asks are to water the trees in this historic drought, and to set up a task force to formulate a plan for saving and growing our urban tree canopy.
