Advances in the design and reliability of modern aircraft, together with investment in pilot training and maintenance technicians training, have contributed to this impressive achievement. However, to continue to build on this safety record, harmonization and continuous improvement of training standards and processes are necessary.

Engineering & maintenance

Competency-based training (CBT) for engineering and maintenance personnel working in aircraft and component maintenance organizations is oriented to the establishment of a workforce being competent to perform a defined set of maintenance tasks to defined standards. The scope of the training is oriented to the requirements and environment of the workplace and takes into consideration the pre-training competencies of the attendees of the training program.
