Multi-Program Databases

• Cleanups in My Community - a powerful web application that shows sites where pollution is being or has been cleaned up throughout the United States. Currently, for a wide variety of geographic areas, it maps, lists and provides cleanup progress profiles for Superfund, RCRA Corrective Action, Brownfields and Federal Facilities for which EPA receives information. We are working with our state and local partners to expand the scope of cleanups to be accessed through Cleanups in My Community in the future.

• My Environment - A powerful new web-based tool that provides a wide range of federal, state, and local information about environmental conditions and features in an area of your choice.

• EnviroFacts - Welcome to Envirofacts, your one-stop source for environmental information.

• ECHO - Search for facilities in your community for the purpose of determining whether EPA or State/local governments have conducted compliance inspections, violations were detected, or enforcement actions were taken and penalties were assessed in response to environmental law violations.

• E-Dockets - Dockets, Electronic Dockets, and Information Centers serve as the repository for information related to particular Agency actions, which include the regulatory and non-regulatory process.

Single Program Databases

• EnviroMapper - EnviroMapper is a powerful tool used to map various types of environmental information, including air releases, drinking water, toxic releases, hazardous wastes, water discharge permits, and Superfund sites.

• Superfund Site Information - CERCLIS contains information on hazardous waste sites, potential hazardous waste sites, and remedial activities across the nation, including sites that are on the National Priorities List (NPL) or being considered for the NPL.

• Records of Decision - RODS is the Record of Decision System that provides the justification for the remedial action (treatment) chosen at a Superfund site. It also contains site history, site description, site characteristics, community participation, enforcement activities, past and present activities, contaminated media, the contaminants present, scope and role of response action, and the remedy selected for cleanup.

• Federal Facilities - From nuclear weapons plants and military bases to landfills and fuel distribution stations, the U.S. government operates thousands of facilities across the country that promote the security and welfare of American citizens. Constant improvements in technology and national security now permit that many of these facilities be transformed for other beneficial uses. To overcome the difficulties posed by contamination at Federal facilities, EPA works with the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DOE), and other Federal entities to develop creative, cost-effective solutions to their environmental problems.

• Lists of Brownfield Sites - Brownfields are sites that, with certain legal exclusions and additions, mean real property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.

• RCRA Info - Hazardous waste information contained in a national program management and inventory system about hazardous waste handlers. In general, all generators, transporters, treaters, storers, and disposers of hazardous waste are required to provide information about their activities to state environmental agencies.

• Underground Storage Tanks - This link provides state and regional contact information, plus up-to-date data on the UST system universe as well as the status of implementing various national program initiatives.

• Restrictions on Land Use - Institutional Controls (ICs) are non-engineered instruments, such as administrative and/or legal controls, that help minimize the potential for human exposure to contamination and/or protect the integrity of a remedy by limiting land or resource use.

• TRI Report - EPA database that contains information on specific toxic chemical releases and other waste management activities reported annually by certain covered industry groups as well as federal facilities.

• EnviroJustice - Environmental Justice is the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.
