Heinrich Continues Effort To Reduce Veterans Disability Claims Backlog
During a Senate Committee On Veterans' Affairs hearing, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) continued his effort to reduce the veterans disability claims backlog. In an opening statement, Senator Heinrich pressed the urgent need to pass S. 1148, the Veterans Benefits Claims Faster Filing Act, a bipartisan bill he introduced to help reduce the veterans disability claims backlog.

U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich meets with constituents in Albuquerque to discuss strengthening New Mexico's middle class.
At 10:00 a.m., following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S. 815, the Employee Non-Discrimination Act, post-cloture.
The Senate will recess from 12:30 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.
