Officer Eugene Ciardullo, 51, was arrested by fellow officers at his home Saturday afternoon, department spokesman Officer Jose Estrada said. Ciardullo was booked into Cook County Jail on Sunday, according to online records. Ciardullo is expected to appear in Cook County bond court Sunday afternoon. Ciardullo, of the Scottsdale neighborhood, is assigned to the department's Deering District on the South Side, Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said.
