Your business or community group can help keep roads litter-free by "adopting" a minimum of 1 mile of County maintained road for a two-year period. George Tryon Bridge Replacement Project South Fork Road, near the community of Douglas Park, is scheduled to begin construction on June 18, 2015. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is responsible for the project and their contractor Flatiron West, Inc. will be constructing the project. Project completion is anticipated in 2017. The airport is operated by the Border Coast Regional Airport Authority, a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) with a Board of Directors comprised of representatives from Del Norte County, the City of Crescent City, the Elk Valley Rancheria, Smith River Rancheria, City of Brookings, Oregon and Curry County, Oregon.
