Fox News Network, LLC v. Board of Governors and Bloomberg, L.P. v. Board of Governors

The Board has released information that was the subject of court proceedings brought by media companies under the Freedom of Information Act. Decisions by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit required release of this information (Fox News Network, LLC v. Board of Governors, 601 F.3d 158 (2d Cir. 2010) and Bloomberg, L.P. v. Board of Governors, 601 F.3d 143 (2d Cir. 2010)). On Monday, March 21, 2011, the United States Supreme Court denied further review of these decisions. The Board also has released information that was the subject of a related court proceeding by a media company (Fox News Network) in a U.S. District Court in the Second Circuit.

All of the information relates to borrowers at the discount window and emergency lending facilities under section 13(3) of the Federal Reserve Act. It spans the period from August 8, 2007 to March 1, 2010. Portions of the records not identified in court proceedings as responsive to the media companies' FOIA requests are marked "NR." To obtain a copy of these records, you may submit a request through the Board's electronic FOIA request form.
