Interstate Environemntal Commission

Welcome

Established in 1936, the Interstate Environmental Commission is a tri-state water and air pollution control agency for New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

The mission of the IEC is to protect and enhance environmental quality through cooperation, regulation, and communication between government officials and citizens in the tri-state region.

The Interstate Environmental Commission is the oldest regulatory and enforcement agency in the region, and clearly, year in and year out, the Commission’s track record of accomplishments benefitting New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut speaks for itself.
