The bridge is scheduled to close Sunday through Thursday nights from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Detours will be available night and day, so please visit http://www.dot.ca.gov/dist10/JamesRobertsBridge/index.htm for additional information.
In honor of Veterans Day, active military personnel and veterans are invited to camp and use the recreation area at no charge all week, beginning Wednesday, November 9th! Click here for flyer.
Please do not swim within 50 yards of marinas or vessels connected to AC Shore Power due to the risk of Electric Shock Drowning (ESD). ESD results from the passage of typically low level AC - Alternating Current in freshwater through the body at a sufficient level to cause skeletal muscular paralysis. The victim is rendered unable to help themselves and they drown. If the electric current is high enough, electrocution can also occur. ESD is caused by electric current leaking into freshwater around boats & docks that are connected to AC shore power.
Unfortunately the Don Pedro Recreation Agency Office and Visitor Center was destroyed by a fire on May 25. This was a historic building and is such a loss for the community.
We have a temporary Visitor’s Center set-up on site. If you need to contact us you can call 209-852-2396.
All campgrounds, boat launches, marinas and facilities are open and unaffected by the fire.
The weather is beautiful, the lake is full, the campgrounds are ready and we look forward to seeing everyone this Memorial Weekend to kick-off the 2016 Lake Don Pedro season.
