Area of Responsibility includes: Grays Harbor and Willapa Bay on the Washington Coast, Tillamook Bay and Nehalem Bay on the Oregon Coast, and the Columbia River up to Portland Oregon.

Aids to Navigation Team Astoria is responsible for six lighthouses, 302 minor (smaller) aids to navigation and performs discrepancy response for 287 aids belonging to USCGC Fir and USCGC Bluebell. The ANT operates a 26 foot and a 20 foot trailerable aids to navigation boats towed by 4x4 one ton crew cab trucks to perform their mission. They also operate an assortment of small field equipment and weight handling equipment.

Aids to Navigation Team Astoria is located at the Coast Guard Facility on Tongue Point. They are the host command for USCGC FIR, ATS electronics shop, Advanced Rescue Swimmer School, and the D13 AtoN Hardware Specialist. The crew consists of ten active duty and three reservists. Two Sector Columbia River personnel are assigned to the ANT to do maintenance and help with hazardous waste management.

Sector Columbia River provides all other education, housing, medical and personnel services.
