Board of Supervisors in defining the goals and policies, and implementing the programs within the general plan. This is accomplished through review of land development applications, review of county projects, and revising land development regulations.
The Planning Division strives to assist land owners in achieving their goals and desires for use of their property while promoting the safety and welfare of the public, and protecting the county’s cultural assets and natural environment for the enjoyment of current and future residents.
To assist with this mission, the Planning Division provides staff support to several
commissions and committees.
