Wisconsin TSP Grazing Land Planners Workshop (January 2017)

NRCS will be hosting a Workshop for Grazing Land Planners on Wednesday, January 11th in Madison and Thursday, January 19th in Milladore.  The workshop is intended for TSPs (certified and applicants) and NRCS Cooperating Partners.  If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to Brian Pillsbury, brian.pillsbury@usda.gov, 608-662-4422, x250, by January 6, 2017.  Notify Brian if any special accommodation is needed.  The following is a copy of the Agenda:

Wisconsin TSP Forestry Training Session (October 2016)

On October 24, 2016 a training session was held in Rhinelander Wisconsin with an emphasis on NRCS Forestry related items.  The following materials were presented during the training session:

Wisconsin TSP Training Sessions (June 2016)

In June 2016; three training sessions were held in Wisconsin to provide training and guidance on TSP policies and procedures and conservation planning requirements.  The following materials were presented during the training sessions:      

Beginning October 1, 2016; the NRCS-CPA-52 (Section A through P) shall be required to be completed, signed, and submitted by the TSP for any Conservation Plan or Conservation Activity Plan (CAP) developed by the TSP.

TSP Performance Reporting

TSP’s are responsible for reporting the technical services they perform.  In order to document TSP accomplishments, TSPs must provide the following information within 30 days of completion of work:

  • TSP Name
  • Customer Name
  • Program
  • Location of Work (State, county, Land Tract Identifier)
  • Land Use
  • Practice Name, Amount, and Units
  • Service type (i.e. Planning, Design, Installation, Checkout

The reporting form will indicate that the technical services provided by the TSP:

  1. Comply with all applicable Federal, State, Tribal, and local laws and requirements.
  2. Meet applicable NRCS conservation practice standards, specifications, and program requirements.
  3. Are consistent with and meet the particular conservation program goals and objectives
  4. Incorporate, where appropriate, low-cost alternatives that address the resource concern. 

Within 30 days of completion of work, submit the completed worksheet by email to: WI.NRCS.Technical@wi.usda.gov

TSP Informational Updates

1/3/2017: The Wisconsin FY 2017 EQIP Cookbook is now available in eFOTG in Section I. The document identifies the eligible practices and payment rates in FY 2017 for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program in Wisconsin.

11/14/2016: FY 2017 USDA Information Security Awareness Training has been posted and is required of all TSPs. The course is automatically loaded in each TSPs AgLearn To-Do List; and is required to be completed no later than February 1, 2017.
