Featured: Where’s Winter?
2012 February 7
Congratulations to Flickr participant WaterBugs174 for her featured photo from State of the Environment!
Taken on December 23, 2011, these sandy icicles along Lake Huron’s shoreline are unusual for late December, looking more like spring conditions.
Today’s photo shows one picture of our world and our environment today, what’s your view? Share a current photo as you see it.

Ask the Soviet Union. If you’re trying to imply this is due to global warming, think again – the jet stream has shifted and while we’ve been getting a nice break from the bitter temps we were getting for the last half a dozen years someone else is getting the cold. Our planet is wonderfully balanced. If we’re not getting it, someone else is. Too bad you can’t see that.
