Stormwater Utility Survey

The 2016 Western Kentucky University Stormwater Utility Survey is now available by clicking this link.  Also, we have two accompanying animated image files: Image 1, and Image 2.  Please feel free to download these files and share them with your colleagues.  Our only request is that if you use the data, you reference the survey.

This survey began as a project for CE 300 Floodplain Management in the Fall of 2006.  More than 2000 student hours have contributed to this resource.  Since 2014, we have collaborated with Dr. Randel Dymond at Virginia Tech and his graduate students Kandace Kea and Amanda Dritschel.  They have contributed significantly to quality of this database and have done some significant research using the database.  I highly recommend their two Masters theses that are cited in the 2016 survey.

I am very proud that 49 WKU students have passed the national certification exam for floodplain managers and have become Certified Floodplain Managers.  Click here for more information on the WKU minor in Floodplain Management.
