Automated Vehicle Inspection Program (AVIP)

The Department of Motor Vehicles is integrating electronic data collection and management into Vermont’s Safety and Emissions Inspection process. This is a major effort to improve program effectiveness and efficiency that is known as the Automated Vehicle Inspection Program or AVIP.

Driver Restoration Program

The State of Vermont has begun the final Restoration Program for drivers suspended for failure to pay their traffic fines. The program will only address traffic tickets with a judgment date between July 1, 1990 and July 1, 2012.

The submission of this application does NOT restore your privilege to drive motor vehicles. You will remain under suspension until you receive a Reinstatement Letter from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
