The National Wildlife Refuge System is looking for people who show determination, persistence, imagination – and a passion for conserving America's natural heritage. Refuges need employees with skills in planning, biological monitoring and habitat conservation, contaminants management, visitor services, outreach and environmental education, heavy equipment operation, law enforcement, fire management and more. There are opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students as well as individuals at every level of the career ladder.

 

Youth in Natural Resources

 

Leila Pyle participated in Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, AK, programs as a child, then became a paid crew member with the 2013 Youth Conservation Corps (YCC). Now away at college, she volunteers to help with youth programs during her breaks, prompting her to create this video which she calls Youth Effects.
