Alex Cohen - Former Senior Digital Information Strategist
In his role as the Senior Digital Information Strategist at the Energy Department (DOE), Alex is focused on digital government, IT policy and web reform. Formerly a Technical Training Manager, Alex managed the technical development of the open source National Training & Education Resource (NTER) project.
At DOE, Alex serves in Public Affairs – Office of Digital Strategy and Communications where he works to amplify the Department’s message, promote transparency and support accessibility.
Formerly a project manager at the National Academies of Science and the Federation of American Scientists, Alex brings expertise in project management, software engineering, and research evaluation to the DOE team.
He has a B.S. in computer science and a minor in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst and a Masters in Public Policy from George Mason University.
