2015 Great Lakes Lake Sturgeon Website Update
Midwest Region, September 8, 2015
Print Friendly Version

The Great Lakes Lake Sturgeon website was updated during March 2015 to include new information and partners. The site encourages partnership building and information sharing for lake sturgeon activities throughout the Great Lakes. It was developed in 1999 to provide a forum for lake sturgeon restoration and management across the Great Lakes Basin. The site contains information from numerous agencies and universities working on lake sturgeon management, research, conservation, and restoration in the Great Lakes Basin.

Updates to the site during 2015 included the addition of two new researchers and new information provided by others. A total of 79 researchers currently contribute to the site from 54 agency offices and 13 universities. The site is managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Alpena Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office.
