The Friends of the Great Swamp and refuge staff were presenters at the 2011 GreenFair of the Chathams on Saturday, September 24, 2011. The fair promoted "going green" with environmentally friendly products on display, natural foods for sale, solar energy opportunities for home and business, and many earth friendly organizations on hand.
A total of four hundred visited during the day long fair in Chatham, New Jersey.
A total of twenty-nine vendors/presenters participated ranging from local environmental commissions to local scouts and environmental clubs.

Information on the mission of the USFWS and the Great Swamp NWR was disseminated
along with specific information on recreational opportunities at the Great Swamp NWR.
