Print Friendly Version

Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge hosted the Chesapeake Marshlands 7th Annual Science Meeting on March 17, 2010.  The event was held at the Performing Arts Center at the Chesapeake College in Wye Mills, Maryland.  This collaborative effort included over 100 attendees with scientists and resource managers from federal, state, and private organizations.  Fifteen presentations were given on research projects currently taking place on and around the Chesapeake Marshalnds NWR Complex.  The Annual Science Meeting is an ideal way for researchers from a variety of organizations and backgrounds to cross disciplinary divides and hear what other researchers working on the refuge are finding.  Additionally, resource managers are kept up to date on the most current science.
