Art Deco is a shortened version of the name, and it originated in France just before the first war. It celebrated the luxury the world had earned at the end of war, and it was an indulgence by those with the money to afford it.

Featuring bold geometric shapes, Art Deco was incorporated into many of the products available able the time. Buildings, furniture and vehicles are just three places it was featured. It symbolized the lifestyle of the rich and famous, but it was still reachable by those with ordinary means. It was enjoyed by all on buildings such as movie theaters and hotels. Cars, trains and even buses sported their fair share of this style until the beginning of the next war.
