Learn more about the Focus Group

FOCUS GROUP
The Focus Group was formed in March 2007 to initiate dialogue and interface with labor unions, DOE Program Secretarial Offices, and stakeholders in areas of mutual interest and concern related to health, safety, security, and the environment.

TRAINING WORK GROUP
The Work Group has served to initiate dialogue across the Complex to foster discussion and ideas for implementation of integrated safety and health training that could minimize redundancy and enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of DOE worker training. Worker training reciprocity, portability and standardization are focal areas of interest.

10 CFR 851 IMPLEMENTATION IMPROVEMENT WORK GROUP
The 10 C.F.R. 851 Work Group was established to promote excellence in the implementation of 10 C.F.R. 851, "Worker Safety and Health" and continuous improvement in the implementation of health and safety programs for the DOE contractor work force.

WORKFORCE RETENTION WORK GROUP
The Workforce Retention Work Group was established to collaboratively address the needs of the Department to maintain a skilled work force in the face of anticipated retirements and to address the specific health and safety concerns of that work force that could impede retention.

STRATEGIC INITIATIVES WORK GROUP
The Strategic Initiatives Work Group was established to gain insights from operating contractors, the contractor work force and their representatives to assure the most efficient and effective worker health and safety program expectations, approaches and processes are in place and are well communicated.
