The National Parks BioBlitz continues on across the country! To celebrate 100 years of stewardship, the National Park Service is guiding a shared nation-wide quest to discover and document biodiversity. Many of these occurred May 16-22, 2016, but there are plenty more to BioBlitzes to join! You are invited to be part of the celebration as parks across the country host BioBlitzes throughout 2016. Use the map below to find a park hosting a BioBlitz, and be sure to visit their website for more information. Each park has a specific iNaturalist project, too -- be sure to explore it.

Paperwork Reduction and Privacy Act Statement: The National Park Service is authorized by 54 U.S.C 100702 to collect this information. This information will be collected through iNaturalist during BioBlitzes and other NPS citizen science events. The purpose is to find and identify as many species of plants, animals, and other organisms as possible in or around National Parks so that these occurrences can be documented. The data will be used by the NPS to better understand which species occur on its lands and where those species occur. Response to this request is voluntary. No action may be taken against you for refusing to supply the information requested. The permanent data will be anonymous. An agency many not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required to respond to, a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid OMB control number.
