Samuel Walsh - Former Deputy General Counsel for Energy Policy

Samuel T. Walsh formerly served as Deputy General Counsel for Energy Policy for the U.S. Department of Energy.  Prior to serving in this role he previously served as Associate General Counsel and Senior Legal Adviser at the Department of Energy.  Before joining the Department, he was a member of the energy practice group at the law firm of Hogan Lovells LLP.  Mr. Walsh began his legal career as a clerk to the Honorable David S. Tatel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.  He received a B.A. magna cum laude from Yale College, an M.P.A from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.

The following offices report to Mr. Walsh: the Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Civilian Nuclear Programs, the Office of Standard Contract Management, the Office of the Assistant General Counsel for Electricity and Fossil Energy.
