The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) established the Office of Legacy Management (LM) on December 15, 2003, to provide a long-term, sustainable solution to the legacy of the Cold War. LM is responsible for managing activities at sites where DOE’s mission and active environmental cleanup has been completed. This document captures some of the results from LM’s efforts over the last five years.
