Collaboration Tools

Collaboration is much more than just sharing information.  It is a form of teamwork and a process of exchanging ideas that positively impacts progress.  While it is relatively easy to collaborate with your peers in the office, effective collaboration is difficult to achieve within distributed teams without use of technology.  In order to bridge the distance between project teams, Office of Project Management Oversight & Assessments offers several capabilities that assist the DOE Project Management Community in achieving effective collaboration through technology.

All of the capabilities described below are integrated into the PARS IIe system and available to all PARS IIe users.

PROJECT REVIEW E-ROOMS

Every project managed by the Department of Energy has a requirement to go through a series of reviews, Project Peer Review (PPR), Independent Cost Review (ICE), EVMS Surveillance Review, etc.  To conduct and manage these types of reviews, PM offers a virtual space where project review calendars, documentation, and information can be shared across the review team.

Login to PARS IIe and visit "REVIEWS" section to learn more about Project Review E-Rooms and submit a request to create one for your review.

TEAM SITES

A Team Site is a virtual space where common content is integrated to create a dedicated knowledge center.  Team sites can address specific topic (Cost Estimating, PARS IIe Development, etc.), or target specific audience (i.e. Program Office Collaboration Center, Site Operations Center, etc.).

Email PARS IIe Support Team to learn more about team sites and to request a new team site created.
