Project Management Information Systems (PMIS)

In today’s day and age, Information Systems play critical part in everything we do, and field of Program and Project Management is no exception.  Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) managed by the Office of Project Management Oversight & Assessment (PM) support the DOE missions in achieving project management success, and enable the departmental capability for portfolio oversight, project performance review and analysis, project documentation management, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) certification and surveillance, project management knowledge sharing, and project team collaboration.

The flagship Project Assessment & Reporting System (PARS IIe), as well as a number of supporting capabilities that PM makes available to the DOE Project Management Community, constantly undergo technology review and update, technical capability enhancement, and supporting functions implementation.  From initial release in September 2010 and through most recent update in December 2015, the goal always remained to advance quality of data analysis, improve data consistency, increase efficiency, and offer project management professionals tools that can assist them in achieving project success.
