Gel Fuel and Fireglass – Should we be concerned?
Also, I’m wondering how much people are aware or know about:

a. Gel fuel units, http://www.realflame.com/, http://www.alternative-heating.com/gel-fuel-fireplaces.html; and

b. Fireglass alternatives, http://americanfireglass.com/, http://americanfireglass.com/eco-glass/eco-glass.html.

These seem to be attractive for people not looking to use wood and pellets as heat but more for the aesthetic value. I’m wondering how much attention we, government officials, should be putting toward these kind of appliances. Real flame claims to meet EPA standards – is that true?
