About

The Wood Smoke Team of the U.S. EPA created this site to facilitate discussion between federal, state, local, and tribal air quality agencies who are dealing with wood smoke issues. In short, we expect this to be a platform where we can showcase successes, share information, and connect with each other in an open forum. While you may think the wood smoke issues in your area are unique, there are sure to be others across the country who are dealing with similar problems. By sharing what works (and doesn’t work) when trying to reduce wood smoke emissions, we hope to create a network of problem solvers and creative thinkers to find innovative solutions to poor air quality caused by wood burning.
