Nicholas Jones

Nicholas Jones is Clean Cities coordinator for Alamo Area Clean Cities (San Antonio) Coalition at the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG). The Alamo Area Clean Cities Coalition works to advance the region's economic development, energy security, and environmental and public health by promoting policies and practices that reduce foreign petroleum consumption in transportation and replace it with American made energy.

Prior to joining AACOG, Jones worked with the Solar America Cities program in San Antonio and has worked on all aspects of residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar projects from planning to installation. He also helped form the Sustainable Business Program at UTSA that enabled businesses in the Alamo Area to evaluate business purchases and processes that would lower their operating costs while helping the environment, including energy saving practices as well as renewable energy, energy efficient hardware, and alternative fuel vehicles.

Jones obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Texas A&M University and a Master's Degree in Management of Technology from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
