Welcome to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Chicago Illinois Field Office website. We serve six counties (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will) in the metropolitan area of northeastern Illinois.
As an Ecological Services Field Office, we provide technical assistance to Federal and State agencies, local governments, businesses, and the general public.
Our program areas and services include Education and Outreach, Endangered Species, Conservation Planning Assistance for Federal Projects and Permits, Environmental Contaminants, Habitat Restoration, and Watershed Planning.
