DOE Acquisition Outlook and Challenges

John Hale III, Director of the Office of Small and Disadvantage Business Utilization (OSDBU) at the Department of Energy, spoke at the 1st Annual DOE National Cleanup Workshop, held in September 2015.

This year, the Energy Communities Alliance (ECA) will be holding the 2016 National Cleanup Workshop on September 14-15, 2016, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.  The Workshop will bring together senior DOE executives, officials from DOE sites, industry executives, and other stakeholders to discuss the DOE Office of Environmental Management’s progress in the cleanup of the environmental legacy of the nation’s Manhattan Project and Cold War nuclear weapons program.  Click here for more information about this year's Workshop.

Last year's workshop became the largest Environmental Management-focused gathering in the Washington, D.C. area as it drew over 350 attendees, including senior DOE officials, Congressional leaders, DOE contractors and state, tribal and local government leaders. Click here for more information about last year's event.
