They are 3 mil clear contractor bags, which means they can safely be used to dispose of nails, broken glass, splintered wood, and all the rough, dangerous debris generated on a construction site. Finished with an expanding gusset seal for extra space. These bags are also great for keeping items in long-term storage: they heavy gauge keeps everything safe, and with a clear bag you won’t have to guess at what’s inside.

Gusset Sealed Trash Bags are sealed on the bottom and the sides are tucked in to form gussets, or extensions. The gussets give the bags a clean, square profile making these bags a great fit for many types of trash cans or as a free-standing bag. While they can generally handle heavy loads, they do have a tendency to leak with very wet trash.

Great Product

I ordered 3 mil bags for a project. Plastic Products shipped them quickly - and then UPS fouled everything up. They weren't delivered for a week and the project was finished by the time they arrived. PP did everything right, but UPS failed in a big way.

In order to choose the right size bag, please consider the following:

On Plasticplace.com, dimensions refer to the dimensions of the trash bag, not the trash can.
The trash bag dimensions need to be larger than your trash can measurements to ensure a proper fit.

HERE ARE TWO SIMPLE STEPS TO DETERMINE WHAT SIZE TRASH BAG YOU NEED:

1. Determine the width of the trash bag you will need:

Square/rectangle trash cans:		Round trash cans:
	Take the perimeter (sum of all the sides) of your trash can and divide by 2. This will be the width of your trash bag. Example: Perimeter of can = 32", Width of trash bag = Perimeter (32) divided by two = 16"		Take the diameter (width of your trash can) and multiply by 3.14 (pi). Take this number and divide by 2. Example: Diameter = 16", Width of trash bag = (16 x 3.14)/2 = 25"

2. Determine the height of the trash bag you will need:

Take the height of your can, and add four inches for overhang plus half the width of the can (or diameter), this ensures there’s enough material to cover the bottom of your can.

Example: Bag height needed: 42 (can height) + 4 (overhang) + 12 (1/2 can width) = 60.
