Tough-Land Product Description

(Tiles/Mats/Blocks/Pavers) 


Tough-Land is "Unity's" ½”, ¾” and 1" (inch) thick solid tile/mat/block/paver with a solid bottom design made from 100% recycled (waste) tires and rubber in order to maximize comfort. They are ideal for indoor and outdoor applications such as: weight rooms, golf facilities, walkways, athletic & work areas, ice rinks, ski lobbies, laundry rooms, entrance and exit ways, basements, walls and many other high traffic areas.



SIZE, WEIGHT, LONGEVITY, SAFETY, QUALITY, DURABILITY is the core of Unity’s products. They are easy to clean and safe to use, resulting in low maintenance costs. They do not displace during usage and create consistent shock absorbency year round. The low life costs makes for very good footing thus preventing leg fatigue. There are no retaining edges needed and all of Unity’s rubberized safety surfacing, flooring and paver products are accessible to the handicapped. They are water permeable, easy to install and fully warranted which creates a superior product that no one can match.


Tough-Land is a noise-reducing, puncture resistant product that can withstand heavy blows and high traffic making it a perfect solution for upper level locations or where sound reduction is a requirement. It is easy to install and is fully warranted and therefore a superior product that no one in the industry can match.



Not only is Tough-Land resilient and can be installed over most existing surfaces and rooftops, but they are also independently laboratory tested to meet or exceed ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), ASTM (American Standard for Testing Materials), ANSI (American National Standards Institute), FM (Factory Mutual) and CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) safety standards and guidelines for:

Demand for indoor and outdoor applications of our rubberized safety surfacing, flooring and paver products is increasing in popularity more then ever before. Many facilities across the United States and the world are being fitted with our Tough-Land products as the newest alternative to flooring, surfacing and wall applications as a basis for functionality. With it's unique solid bottom design and having passed several class 'A" fire test, make for a safer, stronger product that everyone can enjoy.

Unity meets or exceeds these ASTM, CPSC & ADA Standards by up to 40% when compared with other competing products on the market today.

Colors

All of Unity’s products are made with clean tire buffing and/or crumb rubber granules recycled in-house and mixed with a clear urethane. Colorized products are made with pigmented dyes combined with black recycled rubber that do not release harmful VOC’s, and are produced free of zinc, latex, lead, phthalates and heavy metals. These pigments are dispersed throughout the top of our products for constant consistency at an economical price. A wide variety of colors to choose from include: black, splash, silver, red, green, tan, blue, white, teal, brown, purple, and TPV/EPDM TOP.


 

EPDM/TPV Blends

With limitless imagination, our Splash Design and solid TPV/EPDM top tiles/mats/blocks can be manufactured using diverse color combinations and/or percentages generated from a plethora of TPV/EPDM granules listed below. This superior alternative can have unlimited design potential that would compliment any area allowing architects and designers to express design through creativity in blending. Manufactured with Aliphatic Binders, the TPV/EPDM chips exhibit superior UV and abrasion resistance that will last a lifetime. The TPV/EPDM choices include:

The size of the “Tough-Land” products are 22" (inches) by 44" (inches), which equals 6.72 sq. ft. per unit. Please allow for a ¼” tolerance due to heat related expansion and contraction of our recycled rubber products.
