Ambassador News
Our 2011-2012 ambassadors Anthony, Corey, Danaira, Kinti, Malika, Will and Zach are making a big difference at each of their stations. Danaira recently assisted with the grand opening for the Caribbean National Wildlife Refuge Complex in Puerto Rico. (See the photos on Flickr!) Meanwhile in Florida, Kinti has been helping out around J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. We've been told that some days you might even be able to catch her donning the blue goose costume! Both Malika and Corey have spent a great deal of time in the field, with Corey working in Louisiana and Malika in Mississippi. They've been on so many trips that they both have a lot of photos they'll soon be uploading to the USFWSSoutheast Flickr site. In South Carolina, Zach spent some time assisting with a hunt on Bulls Island at Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, and soon he plans to visit his neighbor Craig Sasser, refuge manager at Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge. Anthony is the newest ambassador to join our ranks. He's been volunteering at the Panama City Field Office for some time, but when presented to opportunity to become an official Youth Ambassador, he gladly accepted.
Stay tuned for more updates from our ambassadors in January 2012!
