Wishrock Investment Group develops and invests in affordable housing properties nationwide. Collectively, its principals have developed or redeveloped more than 11,000 units of affordable multifamily housing since the early 1970’s. Wishrock’s primary focus is on preserving quality affordable housing for low-income residents. The company takes great pride in improving the quality of the lives of its residents through dedicated empowerment services.

Wishrock embodies a philosophy of long-term sustainability in the development and management of all of its properties. The company joined the Better Buildings Challenge in 2014 and is actively pursuing the goal of reducing its energy intensity by 20% within a decade. Wishrock aims to provide high quality housing that conserves both energy and water, lowers utility costs, and improves indoor air quality and resident comfort. In January, Wishrock completed its first on-site solar project at Laurelwood Place Apartments, one of the 26 of properties in its Better Buildings Challenge portfolio.  Wishrock has also committed to pursuing Enterprise Green Communities or an equivalent green building certification on all new developments.  Other efforts to help reach the Better Buildings Challenge goal include energy retrofits and green operations and maintenance.  The company is pursuing measures such as building envelope upgrades, lighting upgrades, and water conservation improvements across its stabilized portfolio.
