Danville Development Corporation has been providing affordable housing for seniors and persons with disabilities since 1979, when St. Mark’s Tower in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah first opened its doors. Today, the company manages 24 HUD-assisted communities and 4 LITHC communities spanning across Utah and Wyoming.  Danville’s mission is to provide affordable housing for seniors and persons with disabilities to enhance their quality of life.  Danville prides itself on treating residents with the respect they deserve.

The Better Buildings Challenge goal of a 20% reduction in energy use, by the year 2020 across our entire portfolio, aligns well with Danville’s ongoing dedication to energy conservation.  Danville plans to accomplish this goal by upgrading all building systems in both common areas and resident living spaces with equipment and systems that use less energy and fewer natural resources.  Danville has and will continue to work closely with local utility companies to improve building efficiencies while utilizing rebates/incentives to complete improvement projects such as: lighting, building envelope and insulation, boiler/chiller upgrades, and low-flow plumbing fixtures.  Danville will use a variety of other savings pathways to improve its portfolio’s energy performance including: improved operations and maintenance, resident engagement, benchmarking, and data collection to increase resident comfort, provide a healthier environment and preserve affordable housing communities.
