The list includes the name of the National Wildlife Refuge, location reference, type of plan being prepared, general plan status, name of planning team leader, and planner's contact information including a clickable email link. The plans are arranged geographically by the four states of the Southwest Region: Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas.

There is a 37 day comment period closing January 9, 2015. Send comments to R2fireplanning@fws.gov or by mail to: Arizona Fire District FM/EA, c/o Buenos Aries NWR, P.O. Box 109, Sasabe, AZ

Proposed Lower San Pedro River Collaborative Conservation Initiative Opens Scoping Process
The Southwest Region of the Service is considering establishment of a collaborative conservation initiative and new national wildlife refuge along the Lower San Pedro River in Cochise, Pima and Pinal Counties, Arizona. The initiative would be entirely voluntary and have no regulatory components. The San Pedro River is nationally recognized for its high values for migratory birds, biological diversity, and supporting a substantial part of the population for endangered southwestern willow flycatchers. Scoping seeks to elicit issues that the Service will address in its planning documents. Contact Jeannie Wagner-Greven, email: jeannie_wagnergreven@fws.gov phone 505-248-6667.
