Tis the Season.....to count the birds! 'Citizen Scientists' making an impact

The longest-running citizen science project is underway and continues through January 5. Come out and count during the 117th Christmas Bird Count. As a count volunteer you will follow specified routes and count every bird you see or hear all day. The data collected by observers helps protect species and their habitat by providing data to Audubon researchers, conservation biologist, wildlife agencies and others who are interested in the long-term health and state of bird populations across North America.
