This Earth Week, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz, Deputy Secretary Daniel Poneman and other DOE officials will host events throughout the country to highlight what the Obama Administration is doing to combat the effects of a changing climate and build a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

Secretary Moniz will make a key announcement and meet with Georgia Tech students, discuss DOE-funded projects

Washington D.C. — Tomorrow, Secretary Ernest Moniz will keynote the Sam Nunn Policy Forum at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, where he will make an announcement regarding the Administration’s all of the above energy strategy.  Following the remarks, the Secretary will meet with Georgia Institute of Technology students and faculty as they highlight their work on DOE-funded projects. 

WASHINGTON, DC – The Department’s Office of Energy Policy and Systems Analysis will host the first public meeting to receive stakeholder input to the Quadrennial Energy Review (QER), an administration-wide effort to make recommendations regarding key infrastructure needed for transmission, storage and distribution of energy.

The Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy (ARPA-E) will host its fifth annual Energy Innovation Summit from February 24 to 26, 2014, at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

On Thursday, February 13th, senior Obama Administration officials will join California Governor Jerry Brown, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and state, local and tribal leaders from across the country for a media availability at Los Angeles City Hall
