Summary:
The proposed action is to demolish and remove the Afterbay Dam in a controlled manner that is protective of the environment and human health and safety, and complies with applicable permits and regulatory requirements. The Afterbay Dam no longer serves its intended purpose and is occasionally submerged during high reservoir water levels. The Afterbay Dam is located on the upper arm of the Stanislaus River in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties, California.

02/09/2012:
Draft EA available for public review July 1, 2011. Comments due August 1, 2011. FONSI signed and final EA completed on February 9, 2012.
