Summary:
Reclamation proposes to approve Klamath Project water transfers between contractors for lands within the delivery area of the Project to optimize the use of limited Project water supplies brought on by the fourth consecutive year of drought. This would allow the potential irrigation of up to 72,000 acres of irrigable lands (approximately 42 percent of total Project acres) which would otherwise be idled or irrigated though means other than with Project water supplies.
