In support of the U.S. Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (USEITI), ONRR provided Federal production data for publication in the first USEITI Annual Report on the Data Portal. On the Federal Production page of the USEITI Data Portal, you can query Federal production data by commodity and geographic area for calendar years 2005 through 2014, using an interactive map. In addition, the complete calendar year and fiscal year Federal production data files are available for download on the USEITI Data Portal.

Summary Level Production Volumes

The summary level production volumes presented below include aggregated volumes of oil, gas, and coal produced on Federal offshore, Federal onshore, and American Indian lands. The dataset is a "snap shot" of reported production volumes for fiscal years 2006 through 2015, as of January 8, 2016. ONRR plans to publish summary level production data for oil, gas, and coal on Federal offshore, Federal onshore, and American Indian lands each February for the most current 10-year period.

Data Source: Reported Production Volumes as of January 8, 2016. Companies report production data for oil and gas on Form ONRR-4054 (the Oil and Gas Operations Report, or OGOR) and for coal on Form ONRR-4430 (the Solid Minerals Production and Royalty Report, or P&R). ONRR extracts the data from these reports by production date to only include production that took place in a given fiscal year and to exclude adjusted or corrected reporting for production that took place in previous fiscal years.

The availability of Federal production data replaces ONRR’s annual update and publication of sales year reported revenue data.
