Hearing

For visitors with special hearing enhancement needs, the park strives to make the park as accessible as possible by providing programs that accommodate all visitors as much as possible in ways that will allow for enjoyment and participation in a range of activities.

VISITOR CENTERS

The Ernest Coe Visitor Center has telephone headsets with volume control, that provide audio description of an interpretive display. The theater displays the park’s orientation and other films with open captions. Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) are available upon request for use in interpretive programs.

The Shark Valley Visitor Center and Gulf Coast Visitor Center offer ALD upon request for interpretive programs. The park’s orientation film is also available with closed captions, upon request.

RANGER-LED ACTIVITIES

The Royal Palm Visitor Center, Flamingo Visitor Center, Shark Valley Visitor Center and Gulf Coast Visitor Center have ALD available for interpretive programs upon request.

CONCESSION BOAT AND TRAM TOURS

The Shark Valley Tram Tours offer ALD upon request for interpretive programs.

The Gulf Coast boat tours offer ALD for tours, upon request.
