Tours depart from the Shark Valley Visitor Center located along U.S. Hwy 41/Tamiami Trail, 25 miles west of Miami, FL. Reservations are strongly recommended from November through April when Everglades National Park is at its busiest. Guided two-hour narrated tram tours are offered along a fifteen-mile loop trail into the "River of Grass". Bicycle rentals are $9/hour and are available on a first-come first-serve basis.
Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and a driver’s license or ID is required to rent bikes. All rentals are single-gear, coaster brake models with adjustable seats to accommodate riders of different heights. Baskets and helmets are available for all rental bikes. In addition, 20” children’s bikes and bikes with child seats are available for children of 35 pounds or less. Back Country Boat Tour Florida Bay Boat Tour Reservations and additional information for all camping accomodations can be found at https://flamingoeverglades.com/camping/. The Flamingo Marina, open year-round, can accommodate boats with electric and water hookups. Marina is currently open with access to power, 30A water pedestals, pump out, showers, fuel, and fully stocked marina store (beer, water, sunscreen, bug spray, to-go food etc.) The channel will accept a four-foot maximum draft at HIGH-TIDE. At SLACK TIDE (0 tide) the channel is approximately two feet deep.
Everglades Florida Adventures - Gulf CoastThe National Park Service has awarded a 1-year temporary concessions contract to Guest Services, Inc. to provide interpretive boat tours and equipment rentals at Everglades National Park's entrance in Everglades City. The 10,000 Islands tour departs daily from the Gulf Coast Visitor Center in beautiful Everglades City, FL. This 90-minute excursion ventures across Chokoloskee Bay, into Indian Key Pass, and through the mangrove islands of Everglades National Park. Canoe and kayak rentals are available, daily and hourly. Airboat ToursThere are three authorized airboat businesses that offer professional airboat tours inside Everglades National Park. Airboat tours are provided at 22700 Southwest 8th Street, Miami, FL 33194, located approximately 11 miles west of the Florida Turnpike on US 41, the Tamiami Trail. Tours operate 7 days a week from 9:00 AM to 5:50 PM.
