OUR MISSION:

Rockaway Waterfront Alliance is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering residents of underserved communities in the Rockaways to play a role in the determination of their neighborhoods. We provide enriching education and community programming, which instill both individual and civic respect for nature, and contribute to advancing the physical, economic and social sustainability in the Rockaway Peninsula.

AS A CATALYST FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY BUILDING OUR MISSION IS:

• to inspire members of the local community to become active stewards of the waterfront through enriching educational programs;
• to revitalize the health and well being of the Rockaway community through arts, environmental conservation and outdoor recreation.
• to strengthen the community's role as advocates through community planning efforts to make a vibrant and sustainable coastal community.
