- Keith Lea3 weeks agoIt's pretty, but for running I prefer to be out at the water — much quieter and no bikers
- Wrigley FielderNovember 23Great way to exercise the puppy 🐶. Water taxis ⛴near museum campus were still running and a hotdog stand 🌭was still open on a mild mid-November Saturday. 🍁🍃🍂
- If your a runner beware of bikers! Also if the water is rough the waves could come up and knock you over.
- This trail is one unique aspect that separates Chicago from other cities. Great to run and enjoy amazing views of the lake and city.
- Sweet place to ride. Wear goggles at night to avoid bugs in the eye.
- Dustin HaleyApril 5Great for running and biking, but be careful on warm summer weekends! It can get crowded.
- Kinjil MathurOctober 8, 2015Amazing views of the city skyline. But be careful, no railing! Have proper running shoes bc the waves from jet skiers do crash against the trail and make it slippery😬
- Noah AdamsSeptember 21, 2015Beautiful trail. Stay to the side or you'll get run over by angry bikers!
- Go take a hike. On the lake front trail that is. Just stay to the right so faster moving bikes and people can easily pass. Take a break and sit by the lake.
- drew tarvinJune 18, 2015Go for a run and get hot. Then jump in the water to instantly cool off (and I do mean instantly).
- Wynne JacobsonMay 8, 2015Hey Chicago Lakefront Trail, you should join Freebie! The benefits are amazing for both you and me. Read more
- Mark ModrickerApril 20, 2015I did a 10 mile ride this week on the trail for the first time, it was amazing! Read more
- Jaterra GrantApril 16, 2015Don't get run over by bikers. I love them to death, but you're not the only one using the trail. I suggest walking along here for some sun or fresh air or the view.
- April BayneDecember 31, 2014Park at Montrose and bike along the lakefront past McCormick Place. Best early morning-gets crowded after 10 on weekends.
- One of my favorite places in the city. Lots of good scenery (nature and people alike)
- Matt ThomasJanuary 24, 2014Of course you don't have to worry about being distracted in the winter unless you find snow sexy. lol
- Matt ThomasJanuary 24, 2014If you are a guy, the hot, bikini clad women from Oak St. to Fullerton Ave. will distract you. Be careful!!!
- Kelli SullivanNovember 17, 2013College Kids: Don't gain the Freshman 15 and take advantage of this gorgeous Lakefront Trail. Walk, run, or bike alone or with friends. Bonus: jump in the water afterwards!
- Be careful when crossing the path at Montrose, Wilson and Lawrence. Bikes have the right of way, but a lot of cars don't see it that way!
- Igor BaltiyskiyOctober 10, 2013There's a long pier that stretches well into the lake, near Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary --- bike along the shore and you'll see it.
- I often take this path, don't be surprised if you see me here... And I'll probably try to talk to you. Let's not make it awkward
- My favorite stretch is from Ohio Street Beach to North Avenue Beach.
- Lena DudaJuly 29, 2013The perfect skater's path. 17 miles of paved awesomeness with epic sights at every turn. Sure, a few rough spots (Mile 11-12 etc) and some crowding, but overall a fantastic workout. 9.99/10
