PACE Welcomes Rachelle Pastor Arizmendi as its new Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer

PACE is excited to start the New Year by welcoming Rachelle Pastor Arizmendi to our Executive Team as the new Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. She returns to PACE having previously served as the Director of PACE’s Early Childhood Education Program.

In her year and a half away from PACE, she served as the Executive Director for 2-1-1 California, a statewide network and completed her first year in the elected position of City Council Member in the City of Sierra Madre. In those capacities, she cultivated relationships and partnerships with federal, state, local government entities, policy organizations, foundations, and businesses. Ms. Pastor Arizmendi brings a wealth of knowledge in program development, fundraising, event planning, and public policy. She currently serves as a Board Member on the API (Asian Pacific Islander) Caucus and a Policy Committee Member in Community Services for the California League of Cities. She has also served on several other non-profits boards, represented the State of California on nationwide workgroups, served on the LA Child Care Planning Committee, PBS SoCal Advisory Committee, CA Department of Education and CA Head Start Collaborative Committee, and numerous other work groups/committees across the city, county, state and the country.

Mr. Kerry N. Doi, President and CEO, has said “the PACE Board of Directors and staff look forward to having her critical perspective on programs, finances, and management—especially as we commemorate PACE’s 40th Anniversary this year and move toward a brighter future for the low-income, ethnic minority communities that we serve.”
